Expert Witness and Litigation Support Services

If you find yourself in an uncomfortable or adversarial situation with an architect or contractor, retaining Roger Greenwald, AIA as your Dispute Manager or Expert Witness immediately and radically changes the power equation in your dispute. Mr. Greenwald’s Dispute Management and Litigation Support Services take the strain of the conflict off of the Owners’ shoulders, guiding the dispute to a better outcome. Often, just the presence of a seasoned Expert Witness standing for the interests of the Owner is enough to diffuse tensions, and break through the impasse by de-personalizing the conflict. Mr. Greenwald can define and will defend appropriate design and construction standards, and has the industry stature and reputation to gently but firmly dismiss attempts of a contractor to obfuscate or mislead. With his presence in the foreground and his litigation support services in the background, the adversary knows that the client has options other than capitulation to unreasonable demands of an unprofessional or unreasonable adversary. Once the immediate problem is resolved, and the job is again moving forward, Mr. Greenwald remains involved to inspect the job at key points, including inspections prior to the distribution of further payments. If Mr. Greenwald’s participation fails to persuade the contractor to cooperate, Mr. Greenwald is available to shift into the role of Expert Witness and provide litigation support services during litigation, and/or to stand by the client during the transition to another contractor. Optimally, Mr. Greenwald’s introduction into the dispute turns the relationship around, and allows the parties to diffuse stress and re-focus on relationship building and a satisfactory conclusion of the job.
